My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus: “Now you are the body of Christ, and individually members of it.” (1 Corin. 12:27)
How do we become a member of the Body of Christ?
“Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and GAVE HIMSELF UP for her, that he might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, so that he might PRESENT THE 1CHURCH TO HIMSELF IN SPLENDOR, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.” (Eph. 5:24-27) 1Ekklesia: a gathering by God, called out ones. Peter says: “…you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation,GOD’S SPECIAL POSSESSION…” (1 Pet. 2:9) What did it cost Jesus? “He purchased the church with, “His own blood…” (Acts 20:28) How do we become a part? “…God has placed the members, EACH ONE OF THEM, in the body, just as He desired.” (1 Corin. 12:18) We join ourselves to the Lord: “…in an everlasting covenant that will not be forgotten.” (Jer. 50:5)
His church is obviously very important to Jesus…
“For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ does the church, because WE ARE MEMBERS OF HIS BODY of his flesh, and of his bones. For this reason, a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” This is a profound mystery–but I AM TALKING ABOUT CHRIST ANDTHE CHURCH. (Eph. 5:29-32)
THERE ARE MANY MEMBERS, BUT ONE BODY, THE BODY OF CHRIST…
FaithLine, the bible says: “WE ARE MEMBERS OF HIS BODY of his flesh, and of his bones…”
