My awesome, wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day: “With the Lord A DAY IS LIKE A THOUSAND YEARS, and a thousand years are like a day.” (2 Pet. 3:8)
I think Peter is trying to explain how God sees time. During the creation the sun and moon were created to give us day and night. There was nothing like time until God created it for man. So, God sits outside of time and views His whole creation. “…I AM GOD, and there is none like me. I MAKE KNOWN THE END FROM THE BEGINNING, from ancient times, what is still to come. I say, ‘MY PURPOSE WILL STAND, and I WILL DO ALL THAT I PLEASE.’” (Isa. 46:9-10)
From Lookout Mountain, when the sky is clear and with a good set of binoculars we can see up to seven different states. That is the limit of our vision, but God from His vantage point can see man being created and then disobeying God and led out of Eden, the special place God created for man. He can see the flood that attempted to rid the world of sin. He can see the manger where Christ, His only Son, became flesh and was horribly crucified, to make atonement for our sin. Jesus then rose from the dead, JUST LIKE HE SAID! God see’s the rapture of all Christians, dead and still living, to meet the Lord at the marriage supper of the Lamb. Then God sees Satan and all who died in their sins, being defeated and cast into the lake of fires, and we live with God for all eternity…
“LOOK, I AM COMING SOON! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the BEGINNING AND THE END.” (Rev. 22:12-13)
WE SERVE AN AWESOME GOD! HAVE A HAPPY AND BLESSED EASTER…
