03-30-18 FaithLine Devotion LET THE LIGHT SHINE…

My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus:   “…darkness was over the surface of the deep…God said, “Let there be light,” and THERE WAS LIGHT.” (Gen. 1:2-3)

The very first thing God did in the creation was to eliminate darkness, the light always gets rid of the darkness

GOD IS LIGHT; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him and yet walk in the darknesswe lie and do not live out the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, WE HAVE FELLOWSHIP WITH ONE ANOTHER, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.” (1 John 1:5-7)

One of the sure signs of us walking in the light is the love we have for one another

“When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. WHOEVER1FOLLOWS ME will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life. (John 8:12)  1akoloutheō: Jesus was inviting people to come close, to join him, to be absolutely engaged with him in both learning and doing the work of the gospel, that is what it means to “follow.”

This is what it will require to keep us away from the darkness…

YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLDlet your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” (Matt. 5:14-16)

WE MUST LET OUR LIGHT SHINE, SO WE WILL GLORIFY OUR FATHER!

FaithLine, the bible says:  let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”
