My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus: God’s word IS A TREASURE worth hiding in our hearts, and there is no place safer than in our hearts; if we have it only in our houses and hands, enemies may take it from us; if only in our heads, our memories may fail us: but if it is embedded in our hearts, and the impressions of it remain on our souls, IT IS SAFE.
“I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I HAVE HIDDEN YOUR WORD IN MY HEART THAT I MIGHT NOT SIN AGAINST YOU. Praise be to you, LORD; teach me your laws.” (Psa. 119:10-12)
Everything that God has spoken, every Godly inspiration which the prophets have received, is pure, without error, without waste. Whatever trials it may be exposed to, it is always like gold: it bears the fire, and comes out with the same luster, the same purity, and the same value.
“Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” (Pro. 30:5)
Let us focus on being obedient to the word today, hide it then do it!
“I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True…He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and HIS NAME IS THE WORD OF GOD.” (Rev. 19:11-13)
LET’S HIDE THE WORD OF GOD IN OUR HEART THAT WE MIGHT NOT SIN AGAINST HIM!
