My awesome, Grandchildren, and Annika, Kaleigh, Kate, Gavin; whom I love and pray for every day: “Then they WERE ALL AMAZED and spoke among themselves, saying, “What a word this is! For WITH AUTHORITY AND POWER JESUS COMMANDS THE UNCLEAN SPIRITS, AND THEY COME OUT.” And THE REPORT ABOUT HIM WENT OUT INTO EVERY PLACE in the surrounding region.” (Luke 4:36-37) Why were these people, who soon would be crying out “crucify him!” so amazed? Well, they had just witnessed a miracle because, “…in the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon. And the demon cried out “Let us alone! Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are—the Holy One of God!” Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” …the demon threw the man…and came out…” (Luke 4:33-35)
These people were eyewitnesses to this miracle and ear witnesses to the statement made by the demon, “I know who You are—THE HOLY ONE OF GOD!” This occurred in Capernaum about 20 miles from Nazareth. Many people heard this verification of Jesus being the Holy one of God. It makes me wonder when, “Pilate… went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I FIND NO FAULT IN JESUS AT ALL.” (John 18:38)
SURELY MANY OF THEM HEARD THIS DEMON REVEAL WHO JESUS WAS…
