My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put NONE OF THE DISEASES on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I AM THE LORD WHO HEALS YOU.” (Exo. 15:26) What does the Lord require of us in return for this promise He made?
- We must ♦heed the voice of the Lord: ♦shâma’: hear, understand and obey.
- Do what is right in God’s sight: Which of course means to obey the Lord!
- Keep His Commandments: This is all about serving and obeying.
“…the LORD will take away from you ALL SICKNESS…” (Deut. 7:15) “Because you have made Most High, your dwelling place, No evil shall befall you, Nor shall ANY PLAGUE COME NEAR YOUR DWELLING; For He shall give His angels charge over you, TO KEEP YOU in all your ways.” (Psa. 91:9-11)
You may say “these promises are made to the Israelites”, “…remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—having no hope and without God in the world. But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been BROUGHT NEAR by the blood of Christ. For He Himself is our peace, who HAS MADE BOTH ONE, and has BROKEN DOWN THE MIDDLE WALL OF SEPARATION…through Jesus we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but FELLOW CITIZENS with the saints and MEMBERS OF THE HOUSEHOLD OF GOD…” (Eph. 2:11-14, 18-19)
YOU ALSO (gentile) ARE BEING BUILT TOGETHER (with the Israelites) FOR A DWELLING PLACE OF GOD IN THE SPIRIT…(Eph. 2:22)
FaithLine, the bible says: “…you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but FELLOW CITIZENS…”
