My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus “Now learn the parable from the fig tree: when its branch has already become tender and puts forth its leaves, you know that summer is near. “Even so, you too, when you see these things happening, RECOGNIZE THAT HE IS NEAR, RIGHT AT THE DOOR.” (Mark 13:28-29)
When spring comes and the trees put out new leaves, we know that summer is not far off. In the same way, we will know Christ’s return is near when we see the events He mentions earlier in the chapter begin to occur.
“Truly I say to you, this generation WILL NOT PASS AWAY until all these things take place. “Heaven and earth will pass away, but MY WORDS WILL NOT PASS AWAY.” (Mark 13:30-31)
What “things” must take place?
- Nation will rise against nation
- kingdom will rise against kingdom
- There will be earthquakes in various places
- There will be famines
- the sun will be darkened
- the moon will not give its light
- the stars will fall from the sky
- the heavenly bodies will be shaken.
- the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky
- he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call
“Take heed, KEEP ON THE ALERT; for you do not know when the appointed time will come.” (Mark 13:33)
WE MUST RUB THE SLEEP FROM OUR EYES AND WAKE UP…
FaithLine, the bible says: “KEEP ON THE ALERT; for you do not know when the appointed time will come.”
