My dear brothers and sisters, of FaithLine: “Jesus sent two of His disciples; and said, “Go into the village; you will find a colt tied, on which no one has sat. LOOSE IT AND BRING IT. And if anyone says to you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘THE LORD HAS NEED OF IT,’ and immediately he will send it here.” So they went their way, and found the colt tied, and THEY LOOSED IT…some of those who stood there said, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING, losing the colt?” And they spoke just as Jesus commanded. SO THEY LET THEM GO.” (Mark 11:1-6) If this were today it would be a car not a colt that Jesus would command them to bring. So, you would walk up to the car, open the door (of course the keys would be in it) and begin to drive it away. Someone would say “what do you think you are doing?” Of course, you would say, “The Lord has need of it!” Why would this work? (John 1:1) and (Revelation 19:13) tell us that JESUS IS THE WORD OF GOD. You can’t separate Christ from His word. Jesus is the word of God that became flesh and dwelt among men – (John 1:14). “For the word of God is LIVING AND POWERFUL, AND SHARPER than any two-edged sword…” (Heb. 4:12). All of this universe we live in exists because “God (the Son) said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; AND IT WAS SO. God made two great lights: the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night. He made the stars also.” (Gen. 1:14-16)
