My awesome, loving and wonderful Grandchildren, and Annika and Kaleigh, whom I love and pray for every day: “Jesus and his disciples…were leaving the city. A large crowd was with them. A blind man was sitting by the side of the road begging…He heard that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. So, he began to shout, “JESUS! SON OF DAVID! HAVE MERCY ON ME!” Many people…told him to be quiet. But he shouted even louder, “Son of David! Have mercy on me!” (Mark 10:46-48)
Bartimaeus (the blind man) had heard of the power Jesus had to heal and was not going to let this opportunity pass by…
“Jesus stopped and said, “Call for him.” So, they called out to the blind man, “Cheer up! Get up on your feet! Jesus is calling for you.” HE THREW HIS COAT TO ONE SIDE. Then he jumped to his feet and came to Jesus.” (Mark 10:49-50)
Bartimaeus throws off his cloak and approaches Jesus. This cloak represents a visual cue for a blind person or beggar. It was often the only source of shelter, or laid on the ground to collect alms. Now it was just cast aside because Bartimaeus knew he would no longer need it…
“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Master, I want to see.” “Go,” said Jesus, “YOUR FAITH HAS HEALED YOU.” Immediately he received his sight and FOLLOWED JESUS …” (Mark 10:51-52)
Bartimaeus was blind, most probably all his life. Just think, all his life without any visual contact with his environment. Now suddenly, he could see for the very first time and He chose to follow Jesus…
I AM SENDING YOU TO OPEN THEIR EYES AND TURN THEM FROM DARKNESS TO LIGHT, AND FROM the power of satan TO GOD… (Acts 26 17-18)
Notice: […We must understand that the bible says:] “YOUR FAITH HAS HEALED YOU.” !!!] That’s for you: Stephanie, Ethan, Camden, Olivia, Aidan, Landon, Kinsley, Annika and Kaleigh
