02-16-18 FaithLine Devotion THE FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT…

My dear brothers and sisters, dedicating your lives to singing for Jesus: “…JESUS…was baptized by John in the Jordan. Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and THE SPIRIT DESCENDING ON HIM LIKE A DOVE. And a voice came from heaven: “YOU ARE MY SON, WHOM I LOVE; WITH YOU I AM WELL PLEASED.”(Mark 1:9-11)

This is very clear evidence of the triune God head. One God in three divine persons…Jesus gave these instructions to His disciples…

“…go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT…” (Matt. 28:19)

The debate about 1 John 5:7…

“For THERE ARE THREE that bear record in heaven, THE FATHER, THE WORD, and THE HOLY GHOST: and these three are one.” (1 John 5:7 KJV)

1 John 5:7 belongs in the King James Bible and was preserved by faithful Christians. But the passage was removed from many Greek manuscripts, because of the problems it seemed to cause. Between about 220 and 270 AD, a man named Sabellius taught that the Father, Son and Holy Spirit were identical. They would use the 1 John 5:7-8 passage to claim that the Trinity was actually the same Person! The Eastern Orthodox would not want any passage of their Bible to say that the Father, Son and Holy Ghost were “one.” They would want to emphasize the distinctions between the Trinity and not have 1 John 5:7 in their Bibles.

“THE GRACE OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AND THE LOVE OF GOD AND THE FELLOWSHIP OF THE HOLY SPIRIT BE WITH YOU ALL.” (2 Corin. 13:14)

FaithLine, the bible says: baptizing them in the name of THE FATHER AND OF THE SON AND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT…”
