“…WHEN YOU PRAY, go into your room, close the door and PRAY TO YOUR FATHER…” (Matt. 6:6)
Prayer is the way we communicate with our heavenly Father, we express our love and adoration to God and let Him know of any needs we or others may have. The Lord says:
“Call to me and I WILL ANSWER YOU and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” (Jer. 33:3)
If two people communicate with one another, they are able to have a satisfactory relationship…Ok, so what do our prayers accomplish?
“…The effective enthusiastic prayer of a righteous man 1AVAILS MUCH.” (Jam. 5:16) 1ischuō: to have or exercise force.
“May my prayer be set before you LIKE INCENSE…” (Psa. 141:2)
God’s plan for us concerning prayers is this; He collects our prayers into vials as incense. Then, according to the amount of incense from our prayers God adds that amount of grace and power and pours it out on the ones we are praying for. The more incense the more GRACE AND POWER that gets poured out…
“…the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had…golden bowls full of incense, which are THE PRAYERS OF GOD’S PEOPLE.” (Rev. 5:8)
PRAY, SO GOD’S GRACE AND POWER MAY BE POURED OUT!
